學校簡介

學校歷史

本校為香港道教聯合會於一九八四年九月興辦之第五間政府津貼小學，由本會會長吳耀東先生捐資，以紀念其先嚴香港雲泉仙館創辦人吳禮和道長，故定名為「香港道教聯合會吳禮和紀念學校」。

由二零零九年九月起，本校法團校董會為感謝雲泉仙館慨捐鉅款，以改善學校的教學設施，特向教育局申請將學校更名為「香港道教聯合會雲泉吳禮和紀念學校」。

School History

Our school is the fifth government-subsidized primary school established by the Hong Kong Taoist Association in September 1984. It was donated by the president of our association, Mr. Ng Yiu Tung, in memory of his father, Mr. Ng Lai Wo, the founder of Wun Chuen Sin Kwoon and therefore the school was named ‘Hong Kong Taoist Association Ng Lai Wo Memorial School’.

In September 2009, the Incorporated Management Committee applied to the Education Bureau specially for renaming the school as ‘Hong Kong Taoist Association Wun Tsuen Ng Lai Wo Memorial School’ in order to express gratitude to Wun Chuen Sin Kwoon for its generous donation to improve the teaching facilities in our school.

辦學宗旨

本校秉承母會「以道為宗，以德為化，以修為教，以仁為育」的辦學宗旨，推行「道化教育」，並以「明道立德」為校訓，致力發展學生潛能，獨立思考，敢於創新；陶冶學生心性，成就良好品德；因材施教，啟發學生樂於學習，自強不息，以應付未來社會的挑戰。

Mission

Our mission is to provide a holistic education based on Taoism. In accordance with our motto ‘Grasp Principles, Cultivate Virtues’, we are dedicated to develop students’ potentials, critical thinking, creativities and good morality. We provide a student-centered education to enhance students’ learning interests and self-improvement and equip them with the abilities to meet challenges in the future.
